Maternal Instinct

This is a photo taken of my mother while she was feeding an abandoned nest of bunnies.


Growing up, I had wildlife in and out of the house; My mother does a local rehabilitation out of the goodness of her heart. Someone hits something, or finds something, it tends to end up in our home. We've had everything from wild bunnies to hawks, woodchucks to ducks. Name it, we've had it. She's got a big heart, and unfortunately, not everything survives. But she will spend hours of dedicated care to give 200% -- as shown in this image. This was taken while she was at home, at our previous address. It's one of my favorite images of her.
